Mauricio Espinoza
(translator from the Spanish of The Fire’s Journey by Eunice Odio)
Mauricio Espinoza is a poet, scholar, and journalist from Costa Rica. He is assistant professor of Spanish and Latin American literature at the University of Cincinnati, and holds a Ph.D. in Latin American Studies from The Ohio State University. He writes about Central American literature, film, and popular culture.
Christopher Merrill

Christopher Merrill has published six collections of poetry, several edited volumes, five books of nonfiction, and translations of Aleš Debeljak. His awards include a knighthood in arts and letters from the French government. He has held the William H. Jenks Chair in Contemporary Letters at the College of the Holy Cross, and now directs the International Writing Program at The University of Iowa. He serves on the U.S. National Commission for UNESCO, he has conducted cultural diplomacy missions in over thirty countries for the U.S. State Department, and in April 2012 President Obama appointed Merrill to the National Council on the Humanities.
Gary Miranda

After three years in Greece as a Fulbright Lecturer in American Literature at the University of Athens, Gary Miranda served as poet-in-residence for five years at Reed College in Portland, Oregon, where he currently lives. Miranda’s poems have appeared in journals including The New Yorker, Poetry, Atlantic Monthly, and American Poetry Review, and have received numerous awards and wide critical praise. His poetry collections include Listeners at the Breathing Place (Princeton University Press, 1979), nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, Grace Period (Princeton University Press, 1983), and Turning Sixty (Zoland Books, 2003).
Caroline Wilcox Reul

Caroline Wilcox Reul is a freelance lexicographer and translator. She has a MA in computational linguistics and German language and literature from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. Her translations of the poet Carl-Christian Elze are forthcoming in Tupelo Quarterly and Poetry International.
Sonia P. Ticas
(translator from the Spanish of The Fire’s Journey by Eunice Odio)
Sonia P. Ticas holds a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in Romance Languages and Literatures. She is professor of Spanish and Latin American Literature and Culture at Linfield College in Oregon where she also co-chairs the Global Languages and Cultural Studies Department. She has published articles on women poets and the development of feminism in El Salvador and presents her work at national and international conferences in Central America.
Jonathan Wells

Jonathan Wells’s poems have appeared in Hayden’s Ferry Review, The New Yorker, Poetry International, and other journals. He has also edited an anthology of poems about rock music, Third Rail: The Poetry of Rock and Roll (MTV Books 2007) and is the author of The Man with Many Pens (Four Way Books 2015) and Train Dance (Four Way Books 2011). Wells has worked as director of Rolling Stone Press and is co-editor of the Tebot Bach New World Translation series with Christopher Merrill.
