ABOUT DAVID WEVILL

David Wevill is a poet, translator, and editor whose work has been awarded with an Arts Council Book Prize, the Richard Hillary Prize, two Arts Council Poetry Bursaries, an E.C. Gregory Trust Award, and a Guggenheim Fellowship. His Poetry has appeared in numerous publications, including The New York Times, The New Yorker, Poetry (Chicago), Harper's, The Listener, The Observer, The Spectator, and on the BBC. His recent books include Departures: Selected Poems (2003), Asterisks (2007), The Boy Changed into a Stag Clamors at the Gate of Secrets (2010), and To Build My Shadow a Fire: The Poetry and Translations of David Wevill (2010). He currently lives in Austin, Texas.
